This Is Where I Begin

For a long time, I held everything in.
The pain, the trauma, the shame—like carrying a backpack full of bricks and pretending it didn’t weigh me down.

I grew up in survival mode. No mom or dad both deep in addiction. Bounced from home to home, passed around like a burden. I lived with family who didn’t really want us. They wanted the money, the attention, and whatever benefits came with “taking us in.”

I’ve seen and lived through things that still echo inside me.
I’ve made mistakes. Trusted the wrong people. Numbed myself just to get through another day. But through all of it, I found something I never expected: GRACE.

Writing this blog is my way of finally giving myself permission to stop hiding. To tell the truth. To connect. To heal.
